To the River – A celebration of the river Ouse with Olivia Laing

Olivia Laing is a writer and editor, whose first book, To the River, traces the route of the Ouse river, from its literal source to the sea, but also the river as the source of human stories, tracing their flow through literature and mythology alike. Central among the Ouse’s ghosts, of course, is Virginia Woolf, who met her sad end in its embrace.
